Our assessment services.

We complete assessments using ‘gold standard’ diagnostic tools in line with guidelines from the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE).  This is important as it ensures that our assessments are of the highest quality and are robust against scrutiny, meaning that they are accepted by important organisations and services like GPs, schools and mental health services.

Autism Assessment

We offer high quality autism assessments for children, young people and adults that comply with NICE guidance and take a neuro-affirmative stance to promoting the strengths and unique opportunities for autistic people. Every autism assessment is conducted by two qualified clinicians and our reports are extremely detailed and comprehensive. The diagnostic tools used in our Autism assessments include the ADI-R (Autism parental interview) and ADOS-2 (in person assessment), which are both gold standard tools recommended by NICE.

ADHD Assessment

An ADHD assessment can be extremely helpful in understanding an individual’s strengths and difficulties relating to aspects of hyperactivity, impulsivity and holding attention. As a child at school or an adult at work, having strategies and the right support can make a huge difference to your quality of life. Our ADHD assessments offer specialist knowledge and recommendations and follow NICE guidelines. The diagnostic tools used in our ADHD assessments include the DIVA and ACE, which both allow an in depth and comprehensive assessment of potential ADHD symptoms.

Learning Assessment

Our Learning Assessments (also called cognitive assessments) provide a comprehensive understanding of cognitive processes, adaptive skills, and potential learning difficulties. These can be carried out as a standalone or as part of an Autism or ADHD assessment. Having a better idea of someone’s strengths and weaknesses allows us to provide recommendations for support, learning and work. Our learning assessments include either the WISC-V or the WAIS-V, which assess cognitive abilities across domains such as verbal comprehension, visual-spatial, fluid reasoning, working memory and processing speed.

Speech and Language Assessment

We work with highly experienced Speech and Language Therapists who can assess for the presence of any speech, language or communication needs. These comprehensive assessments can be as a standalone or as part of a neurodevelopmental (Autism or ADHD) assessment. If any speech disorders are identified then these can be diagnosed and appropriate support and intervention offered or onward referrals completed.
